BID Management & Evaluation

Jacanda Sourcing Agents advises and consults both public and private sector organizations on the creation of strong specifications, auditable evaluation techniques, and the adjudication of bids in a variety of industries.

Bid / Tender Specification

For both purchasing organizations and possible suppliers, the specification is a crucial part of the invitation to tender documents because it outlines the exact qualities that must be present in the goods or services that are being sought. There are two primary kinds of specifications: “functional” specifications, which outline the roles that the products and/or services are supposed to play, including the performance that must be attained, and “technical” specifications, which outline the technical features of the products or services, typically as defined by recognized national or international technical standards. Generally speaking, expected performance or output should be included in the specification.

Bid / Tender evaluation

Every bid’s component parts must be evaluated by the bid analysis team. Prior to comparing and evaluating each component to determine the best overall value for the money, make sure the bid is compliant and that every portion is complete. Making sure the team has the requisite abilities is of utmost importance. For instance, a purchasing expert, a technical expert, a financial expert, and, if required, a legal or commercial expert. To guarantee that every bid is handled precisely the same manner, the procedure must adhere to a predetermined pattern that all participants must follow. In the event that an inspection is conducted, the comparison techniques must be impartial, comprehensive, and substantiated.
